Microsoft SharePoint is a Web Application developed by Microsoft. It is established in 2001 and has historically been associated with intranet, document management and content management. Sharepoint comprises a set of Web Technologies backed by a common technical infrastructure. It has a Microsoft Office like interface which is closely integrated with Office Suite.
